Jon is a corporate lawyer with extensive experience in advising clients on the commercial and legal aspects of their growth strategies.

As a Corporate Partner, Jon specialises in healthcare with a focus on the dental sector, advising dental providers on the sale and purchase of practices and the day to day running of their businesses. He is the lead adviser to Portman Dental Care, an award-winning dental provider with over 160 practices and the largest active acquirer of dental practices care in the UK.

Jon has been nominated for the Young Dealmaker of the Year award at the Insider Wales Dealmaker Awards and his expertise in the dental sector has seen him be appointed by his peers as a member of the National Association of Specialist Dental Accountants and Lawyers, the pre-eminent centre of excellence for accounting, tax and legal matters for dentists. He also regularly delivers seminars, providing guidance to dentists who may be considering taking their practice to market.

  • Lead advisor to Toca Equity Group on its acquisition strategy. Since 2020, Jon has advised them on the successful purchase of five hair and beauty businesses.
  • Advising Sinclair Garages, Wales’ largest franchised car retailer, on its acquisition of Likes Land Rover at Hay-on-Wye from Walters Group in 2018
  • Advising Tri-Wall Europe, a market-leading European packaging company, on its purchase of Welsh Boxes and the Rosewood Group in 2017 and 2018 respectively, the company’s first acquisitions in the UK
  • Advising the shareholders of the Harris Pye Engineering Group on the sale of their shares to Dubai-based Joulon, a company backed by global private equity firm KKR
  • Advising NASDAQ-listed ScanSource Inc. on its purchase of the Imago Group in 2014
  • Advising on the set up, structure and funding of MYPINPAD, a leading company in the electronic payments sector, which has raised £20m+ in finance through several funding rounds
  • Advising Licentia Group in connection with the sale of its subsidiary company, myHSM which is a global provider of payment hardware security modules. The sale saw myHSM being acquired by Utimaco IS GMBH, a worldwide supplier of professional cyber security solutions
